CARLSBAD, Calif. (June 23, 2008) – Noodle®+, the latest and greatest member of the Noodle franchise, is running for the office of "America's Ball," with the ever-eloquent Gary McCord serving as its spokesman. The platform is simple: long distance, soft feel, great price. Virtual campaign quarters opened last week at votenoodle.com, where visitors can find out what makes Noodle+ such a phenomenal performer and worthy candidate; watch and listen to Gary rant about the good, old-fashioned values that have made Noodle the leading contender in the long-and-soft race; and enter to win the chance to play a round of golf with Gary. "This is a fun way for us to call attention to the attributes of Noodle+ during an election year," said Mike Ferris, vice president of TaylorMade-adidas Golf's golf ball division. "While too many political campaigns deteriorate into a complicated and convoluted morass of claims and promises, Noodle has always stood for great distance, great feel and great price. We want to remind people that it still does, and that Noodle+ is the best and the brightest of the Noodle lineage." Earlier this year, a distance test conducted by GOLF Magazine among golf balls in several categories, revealed that Noodle+ ranked No. 2 behind the TaylorMade® TP Black™, and that Noodle+ Lady ranked No. 4.* Gary's featured rant on votenoodle.com has him comparing Noodle to the simple goodness of a cup of coffee; additional rants will be added to the site periodically during the coming weeks. The Vote Noodle theme is also supported at a multitude of off-course retailers where Noodle+ is sold, in the form of energetic point-of-sale displays featuring Gary as Uncle Sam. "Noodle is an icon among golf balls," said Ferris. "It's time that golfers became reacquainted with the qualities that make it great. If you want to play the best-performing candidate in the long-and-soft category, we urge you to vote Noodle." |

| Rocco Mediate Battles Tiger Woods over 91 Holes at U.S. Open | PGA Tour Veteran and Callaway Golf Staff Professional Forces Sudden-Death After 18 Hole Playoff at Torrey Pines CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 2008--Callaway Golf Staff Professional Rocco Mediate gave Tiger Woods a run for his money as the two battled it out during an 18-hole playoff, as well as a single sudden-death hole for the 108th U.S. Open Championship. The veteran, Mediate, went punch for punch with the world's No. 1 golfer throughout the five days of tournament play, but came up one stroke short at the Par-4 7th hole in sudden-death finish at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego. "I threw everything I had, the kitchen sink, everything right at him," Mediate said. "I'm disappointed that I didn't win, but very happy with how I performed. This is the best golf I've ever played. It showed me I can still compete and I want to compete. I came up just a touch short." During the tournament, Mediate used the Callaway FT-5 Driver, FT-i 3-Wood, X Hybrid 2H, X-20 Irons, X-Forged Wedges, Odyssey's new WH XG Sabertooth Putter, and Tour ix Golf Ball. He was dressed from head to toe in Callaway Collection Golf Apparel and XTT Callaway Golf Footwear. Mediate, 45, was inches away from becoming the oldest U.S. Open champion in history. The longtime Callaway Golf Staff Pro made thousands of new fans on the course and millions more at home with his easy-going demeanor all week, shooting 69-71-72-71 the first four days. Mediate's thrilling performance on the U.S. Open stage catapulted him to No. 47 in the World Golf Rankings, a jump of 110 spots. Fellow Callaway Golf Staff Professional Ernie Els finished in a tie for 14th at 2-over-par for the tournament. Els shot 70-72-74-73. Like Mediate, Els used the FT-5 Driver, along with a Tour 15 Degree X Fairway Wood, an X 5-Wood, X Prototype Irons, X-Forged Wedges, the Tour i Golf Ball and an Odyssey White Hot XG #5 Putter. Callaway Golf Staff Professional Phil Mickelson closed with a flourish on Sunday, carding a 3-under-par 68 to finish tied for 18th. Lefty shot 71-75-76 in the first three rounds. "As I look back I am so proud to be from San Diego and to have this Open championship here at Torrey Pines," Mickelson said. "And the golf course was, again, I think the best, fairest setup it's ever been. The mixture of tee boxes, the pin placements were all perfect to give the best players a chance to separate themselves. I'm disappointed I didn't play well, but I'm not disappointed the way this championship is shaping into form and the way that San Diego has been presented. This has been awesome." |

June 16, 2008 Tiger Woods’ Remarkable Mental Toughness Prevails Once Again Leading to His Third U.S. Open Victory -Nike Golf’s PGA TOUR Dominance Continues with Eight Wins; Five Different Champions; and is Two for Two in PGA TOUR Major Championship Victories- Nike Golf’s Tiger Woods performed another legendary display of mental toughness en route to winning his third U.S. Open title. Tiger's unmatched mental strength is talked about by Tiger's late father, Earl Woods, in Nike’s new ad that aired this weekend during the U.S. Open. Woods, who struggled with a sore, post-surgery left knee throughout the weekend, created amazing “Tiger-like” shots when needed with his Nike Golf equipment, shots that surely will become some of the most memorable images in U.S. Open history. With a combination of his Nike SQ Tour driver, Nike ONE Platinum Ball, Nike SQ 2 3-wood and Nike SQ 2 5-wood as well as his Nike Blades, Woods executed a total of three eagles in the major championship that would prove to be the key to eventually securing his third U.S. Open championship victory. One of the sizzling memorable Tiger highlights was on the 18th hole in the final round of regulation play, when Woods hit his new Nike prototype 60˚ wedge to 12 feet and made his putt for birdie to get into an 18-hole playoff. Wearing his Sunday Red Dri-FIT Drop-Needle shirt from Nike’s Tiger Woods Collection and Nike Air Tour TW 8.5 Footwear, Woods continued to march toward victory in the 18-hole playoff by making birdie on the final hole to get into a sudden-death playoff. On the first sudden-death playoff hole, Woods sealed his third U.S. Open title. With Woods’ victory, Nike Golf’s success is amplified with a total of eight wins by five Nike athletes on the PGA Tour, including two-for-two in Major Championships with Trevor Immelman having won The Masters in April. Nike Golf now leads the PGA Tour in driver, iron, fairway woods and wedge wins. __________________________________________________ Woods’ U.S. Open Highlights · Woods now has won 14 major championships on the PGA Tour, just four short of Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18. · Woods continues his streak of never having lost a major championship after leading going into the final round.
